Story telling and listening to stories is happening in the tamil community. It was given the form of a short story. The beginning of a good short story is artistic and charismatic enough inspire readers to read. The short series that deals with the introduction of the story mantra in the form of dialogue in the form of narrative statement stage start conscious awareness brings the character to the forefront and enlivens the stories so the beginning of the short stories Jayamohan’s short stories are set in the middle of the story in away that provokes problems and curiosity

BACKGROUND: Perinatal asphyxia is a common neonatal problem at times devastating because of its potential for causing permanent damage and even death of the fetus or newborn infant. Only a third of deliveries in India are institutional and many asphyxiated babies are brought late to hospitals. In the absence of perinatal records, it is difficult to retrospectively diagnose perinatal asphyxia. There is a need to identify neonates with asphyxia who will be at high risk for hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and multi-organ dysfunction. The value of the present biochemical parameters used for diagnosing asphyxia is inadequate and controversial. OBJECTIVES: The main objective of this study was to evaluate prospectively the value of measuring uric acid to creatinine (UA/Cr) ratio in early spot urine samples in diagnosing perinatal asphyxia, and to assess the relationship between the urinary uric acid to creatinine ratio and the severity of HIE. METHODS: The study was performed from January 2016 to July 2016 in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Rajah Mirasdar Hospital, Thanjavur. The case group consisted of 50 asphyxiated full term neonates who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The control group consisted of 50 full term neonates with no signs of asphyxia after an uncomplicated pregnancy. The spot urine samples were collected within 6-24 hours of birth and sent for uric acid and creatinine analysis. Urinary uric acid to creatinine (UA/Cr) ratio value of >1.22 was taken as the cut-off level. Sensitivity, specificity, Positive predictive value (PPV), Negative predictive value (NPV) were calculated. RESULTS: The Urinary UA/Cr ratios were found to be higher in asphyxiated infants (2.59±1.04) when compared with those in the controls (0.72±0.16, P1.22 has a sensitivity of 86%, specificity of 92%, positive predictive value of 91.49%, negative predictive value of 86.49% and an accuracy of 89% in diagnosing asphyxia among term neonates. INTERPRETATION AND CONCLUSION: The urinary uric acid/creatinine ratio was found to be a quick, inexpensive, non invasive, reliable, early biochemical marker of perinatal asphyxia

An Enhanced Initialization Method to Find an Initial Center for K-modes Clustering

Data mining is a technique which extracts the information from the large amount of data. To group the objects having similar characteristics, clustering method is used. K-means clustering algorithm is very efficient for large data sets deals with numerical quantities however it not works well for real world data sets which contain categorical values for most of the attributes. K-modes algorithm is used in the place of K-means algorithm. In the existing system, the initialization of K- modes clustering from the view of outlier detection is considered. It avoids that various initial cluster centers come from the same cluster. To overcome the above said limitation, it uses Initial_Distance and Initial_Entropy algorithms which use a new weightage formula to calculate the degree of outlierness of each object. K-modes algorithm can guarantee that the chosen initial cluster centers are not outliers. To improve the performance further, a new modified distance metric -weighted matching distance is used to calculate the distance between two objects during the process of initialization. As well as, one of the data pre-processing methods is used to improve the quality of data. Experiments are carried out on several data sets from UCI repository and the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the initialization method in the proposed algorithm

MAXIMIZING THE LIFETIME AND SECURITY OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

Recent technological advances have facilitated the widespread use of wireless sensor networks in many applications such as battle field surveillance, environmental observations, biological detection and industrial diagnostics. In wireless sensor networks, sensor nodes are typically power-constrained with limited lifetime, and so it’s necessary to understand however long the network sustains its networking operations. We can enhance the quality of monitoring in wireless sensor networks by increasing the WSNs lifetime. At the same time WSNs are deployed for monitoring in a range of critical domains such as military, healthcare etc. Accordingly, these WSNs are vulnerable to attacks. Now this proposed work concentrate on maximizing the security of WSNs with the already existing approach (i.e. combination of A* and fuzzy approach) for maximizing the lifetime of WSNs. This paper ensures sensed data security by providing authenticity, integrity, confidentiality. So, this approach provides more effective and efficient way for maximizing the lifetime and security of the WSNs

AN INTEGRATED ANIMAL HUSBANDRY LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Agriculture is the main source of income in countryside areas. Animal such as cow, buffalo, sheep, goat play an important role in life of rural and source of income. A Lot of farmers are now tormenting from different diseases and increase breeding cost. In modern era, compact and simple device has made animal monitoring increasingly attractive. However animal heat detection is still a complicated and inconvenient method. A complete integrated information and Communication Technology is described to design and characterize wearable collar monitoring device for Animal monitoring system and also identify the animal health, heat stress and fertility for Artificial insemination during the livestock Monitoring. A wearable collar based device with sensors wear to a neck of the animal is designed in helping user to better manage the animal’s dynamic information retrieving and analysing over a wireless network. Farmer can monitor animal condition at distance via wireless communication and take timely actions in case of emergency.  Cloud based frame work has been proposed for livestock Animal Husbandry which with be beneficial IoT healthcare solution

Trial of scar in post caesarean pregnancies

Background: The term caesarean delivery used to describe the delivery of a fetus through a surgical incision of the intact anterior uterine wall. The objective of this study was to analyse the maternal and perinatal morbidity between successful VBAC and failed vaginal delivery in cases selected for trial of labour. Methods: Prospective study conducted in Government RSRM Lying In Hospital, Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai over a period of one year from January 2017 to December 2017.Results: Trial of labour in previous caesarean section was more successful when the interval between previous caesarean and present pregnancy was between two to four years 86.40%. Conclusions: Most patients with a prior caesarean birth are candidates for VBAC. In properly selected women, a trial of labour after one previous low transverse caesarean section constitutes the best and safest form of obstetric management

Routine Identification of Melanoma Disease using Global and Local Features

This paper focuses on the finding, segmentation, categorization and removal of skin lesion as a literature survey. Melanoma is a category of cancer that develop from the pigment-network cells renowned as melanocytes. Melanomas usually develop in the skin other than may arise in the maw, backbone or ogle. This paper addresses two different systems for finding of fur evil in dermoscopy images. The first system uses global features and the second system uses local methods and the classifier. Therefore, melanoma is simply to identify with help of global features and local methods. Keywords: Melanocytes, classifiers, finding, segmentation, categorization, removal, fur lesions
